.....The New York (Comedy Cafe) has become a working room for a stable of local comics who are getting paying gigs as emcees and features. The group includes Flip Schultz, David Stebbins, Lynda Militello, Mike Panzeca, Buddy Bolton, Liz Ferron and Drew Sattee.

Schultz and Stebbins have created a two man show, "The Light and The Dark Side of Comedy," which they will perform at the New York Comedy Cafe on Oct. 14.

"It's amazing how the community has grown for open mikers," Schultz said. "When I started in February of '94, there weren't that many comics. Now there's really a great camaraderie down here among comedians."
